  1. Bookmarking online service: https://feedly.com/i/my

I really enjoyed using the online service Feedly. I deleted my Facebook almost a year ago, and I kinda missed all the news outlets that I used to follow. Feedly is a great way to read the news without the temptation of reading all the opinions in the comment section. I can also search for different topics and organize the topics into folders. For example, I can search up the word “education”, and follow sources that create content for the subject.  Feedly will give me website suggestions based on the topic “education” and the algorithm will track my likes and suggest sources based on my interest. I can hit the follow button when I see a familiar source, and it will be saved into the “Education” folder that I created.

EdTech Bites Podcast: Ep. 98: Who To Follow On Twitter And Instagram

This Podcast Gives suggestions on educational innovators to follow on Twitter and Instagram. Some of the people in this episode suggest educators who are leading in the field of digital literacy in the classroom.  For example, Dr. Matthew Joseph is always tweeting great resources on Twitter that can be used to promote inclusive digital literacy in the classroom. This episode is helpful because it suggests people who consistently provide quality resources.

  1. Google Apps for Educators - ITSCO: https://studyo.co/

Studyo is a great application for educators because it allows educators to enhance their classroom Learning Management Systems (LMS) with different planning tools. Studyo provides your students with the ability to manage their own tasks, problem-solve, and take initiative.

  1. Blogs: Free Technology for Teachers: https://www.freetech4teachers.com/p/creating-effective-blogs-websites.html

I really like this blog because it has a lot of helpful information such as how to create a blog using WordPress. I feel like WordPress has become more popular than Blogger in recent years. Richard Byrne has also provided great video instructional videos on how to use the basic functions of Blogger. This is a great resource for teachers who feel like they have a lot of great information to share but are unsure of how to get started on creating their own website.
